Lent, Holy Week & Easter

Wednesday, Feb. 18 – Sunday, April 5

This Lent, Holy Week, and Easter we invite the community to worship, study, and gather together with our family of faith at St. Mary’s.

    Lent

    Two Ash Wednesday services

Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 18. We will offer two Ash Wednesday services in our Nave, located at the corner of Farriss Avenue and North Main Street in High Point. Join us at noon or at 7 pm. Our 7 pm service includes choral music.

    Adult Forum for Lent

Our rector, Fr. Rob, and assistant to the rector, Fr. Louis, lead a discussion of Life of the Beloved: Spiritual Living in a Secular World by Henri Nouwen. The class will meet in the Miller Common Room at 5 pm on Wednesdays during Lent, beginning Feb. 25.

    Walk the Labyrinth

The Center for Prayer and Spirituality at St. Mary’s will open its Labyrinth to the parish and the community during the season of Lent. Our labyrinth is an adaptation of the ancient labyrinth of Chartres cathedral. The labyrinth is a sacred pattern that leads you on a prescribed path to a center. The spiraling course takes you into the center and back out again. Stop by the Community Life Center between 6 and 8 pm on Wednesdays, Feb. 25 through April 1.
